Rotary Club of Matamata Inc.

It took a year to get approval - but the digging began two days after we got it.

All contractors provided labour and material at a very reasonable price.

The project was in the hands of Rotarian Les Greenwell,
supported by the Rotary Skateboard Park Subcommittee (Glenda Milligan and Jim Wheadon),
Ron Langlands and Trevor Robinson who missed none of the working bees,
and last but not least all other Matamata Rotarians who helped whenever necessary.

Matamata-Piako District Mayor Hugh Vercoe paid particular tribute to Rotarian Les Greenwell who drove the project, organising voluntary labour from the Matamata Rotary Club as well as soliciting support and services from contractors.
He presented a certificate of appreciation to the Rotary Club of Matamata on behalf of the district council.
